Meet Beverly Gandara
Welcome.
I am an award-winning author and screenwriter drawn to stories rooted in real lives, quiet courage, and the resilience of the human spirit. I began writing screenplays after retiring from the corporate world, inspired by people whose experiences moved me deeply and deserved to be heard. My work spans historical fiction, drama, suspense, comedy, and family stories—many based on true events and adapted for both the page and the screen.
I write to give voice to those who might otherwise go unheard, exploring the challenges and triumphs of everyday people with honesty, warmth, and emotional depth. I am deeply grateful to those who have trusted me with their journeys so that I may share them with others.
Beyond my writing, I am passionate about children and literacy, and volunteer with Freedom Readers, supporting efforts to help underserved individuals build confidence and possibility through reading.
